Kitchen Witch, Mark Curtis and Friday’s Fox

We can now announce that we will be joining Kitchen Witch on Friday 10th June 2016 during their June residency at The Grace Emily Hotel. Mark Curtis will also be present to warm the night up with some acoustic tunes. As usual you can expect the Grace to be providing a great cosy atmosphere and tasty beers, and you can trust us to take care of all your funk-n-rock desires…

Although you surely don’t need any further reasons to come along, there will not only be free entry, but Kitchen Witch will be launching their new EP, Back to the Mud. We have been lucky enough to hear a preview of this release, so we can say with quiet confidence that you will be wanting to buy one!

Fringe Opening 2016

Friday’s Fox, Local Revolution and The Skeleton Club

We are very happy to invite you all to our second show for 2016! We will be joining Local Revolution and The Skeleton Club at the Crown and Sceptre Hotel on Friday 12th February 2016. This is the opening night of the Fringe Festival so is sure to be a huge night.

We are super proud to be playing with these great local acts. Flavours of funk, soul, reggae, roots, folk and blues should all be represented. You can hear some tracks from Local Revolution and The Skeleton Club on ReverbNation and BandCamp, respectively.

Friday’s Fox and Surfer Rosa

We now resume our regular programming with the announcement of our first show for 2016!

Friday’s Fox will be joining Surfer Rosa at The Crown and Sceptre Hotel on Friday 8th January. Expect some groovy-indie-bluesy-rock from this relatively new arrival on the scene. Of course, we will be bringing our own brand of funky rock to share. You shouldn’t need any more tempting, but it looks like we’ve sorted some drink specials for the night as well!

Winter Hibernation

Sleeping foxFriday’s Fox will be taking a quick break from shows over the remainder of the Adelaide winter. Don’t think we are on holidays though! We are actually in the final stages of pre-production and will be hitting the studio for real in the next couple of weeks. The exact format of the record is yet to be finalised, so we don’t want to promise you anything just yet, except to say we hope to bring you something good, BIG… soon!

We will be announcing more details and gig dates for the CD launch in due course, so make sure you are on our mailing list and/or follow us on your favourite social media (Facebook, Twitter, G+).

Friday’s Fox Gig with Athletic Teenage Joggers and The Loobin’ Brothers

Well, do you want the good news or the bad news first?

The bad news is that Athletic Teenage Joggers are closing the the book of ATJ, announcing an indefinite hiatus. The good news is that they have organised one final gig to say goodbye before they go, and that they have asked Friday’s Fox to join them on 13th June 2015 at The Grace Emily Hotel. You’ll also find The Loobin’ Brothers around on the night, we are assuming to provide some sort of lubrication service.

Friday’s Fox Gig with Sons of ZOKU and The Midnight Fold

Good news everyone! We are super pleased to be returning to The Crown and Sceptre Hotel on Friday 5th June 2015. We are even more pleased that we will be joining Sons of ZOKU, who promise an extra dose of Psych for the night. A brand new Adelaide act, The Midnight Fold, will also be there doing their thing, though they are so fresh we aren’t sure what that might be just yet… You’ll just have to come along and find out!
